About the Role
Teach Now is seeking an ambitious and creative Head of Music to lead a thriving department in a well-regarded secondary school in Hillingdon, rated Good by Ofsted. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Music teacher ready to step into leadership or an experienced Head of Department looking for a fresh challenge.
You will take full ownership of the Music provision across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, driving high standards in teaching and learning while developing a rich and inspiring curriculum. The role offers the chance to expand extracurricular opportunities, including performances, concerts, and enrichment programmes, helping to build a strong culture of creativity and musical excellence across the school.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and develop the Music department, ensuring high-quality teaching and outcomes
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3–KS5
• Design and implement an inspiring and inclusive Music curriculum
• Organise and lead concerts, performances, and enrichment activities
• Monitor student progress and drive continuous improvement
• Contribute to whole-school initiatives and the wider school community
Requirements
• QTS with a specialism in Music
• Proven ability to deliver outstanding teaching across KS3–KS5
• Leadership experience or readiness to step into a leadership role
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for Music education
• Commitment to raising achievement and promoting creativity
• A collaborative, proactive, and innovative approach
