How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    13-18 Months Fixed Term Contract

    Are you an experienced Brand Manager ready to join the business at a time when our brand image has never been more critical?  This important role supports the Senior Brand and Marketing Manager in planning, developing, and improving brand strategy to ensure all marketing communications and activities resonate with our audience and elevate our brand presence.

    You will need a keen eye for detail and be a vocal brand advocate, with a knack for engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders.

    As a brand guardian, you will communicate our vision and strategy with clarity and enthusiasm, inspiring both internal teams and external partners. You will also monitor our brand's performance and identify opportunities for improvement through insights and research.

    Your creativity will fuel a continuous pipeline of innovative ideas for brand development, grounded in thorough market analysis and data-driven insights. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our marketing communications meet all legal, regulatory, and company standards, safeguarding our brand's integrity.

    What you will be doing as Brand Manager

    Brand Strategy –

    Work with the Research team and external agencies to conduct brand and market research activities.
    Translate research to insights, to support the creation of compelling campaign briefs.Be a Brand Champion -

    Manage brand guidelines, assets, identity, and policies to ensure all content is visually and verbally consistent and engaging, across all Thames Water sites and customer facing channels.Brand Communications -

    Create relevant and engaging communication assets and tools, to enable colleagues to deliver effective communications.
    Plan, organise and produce brand photoshoots.
    Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to develop engaging and on-brand communications across various customer touch points.Location - Hybrid, Reading

    What you should bring to the role

    Substantial experience in brand management and insights.
    Creative flair with a strong visual sense. 
    Strong attention to detail and reliable to complete work to quality and timescales.
    A vocal brand advocate, passionate about the brand and determination to deliver the most effective results.
    Great at engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders. A self starter who can proactively make connections and get involved.
    Organised, resilient and adaptable.
    Someone who can take an idea and make it into a reality, advising and working with colleagues to give ideas an identity.What’s in it for you?

    Competitive salary of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
