Primary Teaching Assistant

🕒 Full-Time | 8:30am – 3:30pm | Term Time Only
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Wavertree area of Liverpool. This is a full-time position, ideal for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in a nurturing school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
Work with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning
Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
Help prepare learning materials and classroom displays
Support pupils with additional needs where required
Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with additional needs (e.g. SEN), adapting activities to suit their learning styles
Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environmentRequirements:
Previous experience working with primary-aged children (preferred)
A patient, caring, and proactive attitude
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for education and child development
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essentialWhat We Offer:
