BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager, to join the Northern construction business.

As a Site Manager you will be managing, controlling and supporting the engineering, construction and completion of projects on time and on budget and based on a project in Leeds.

Making Possible

Reporting to the Project Manager and becoming an integral member of the construction team you would be expected to demonstrate a clear understanding of the construction management role, management of subcontractors and have a proven track record of exceeding targets and achieving high scores in health and safety, environmental management and Considerate Constructor Scheme.

• Management of complex Construction process including knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical installations
• Ensure that appropriate quality records are being produced and monitored to verify that the works are produced in accordance with the specification requirements.
• Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Management Plan and BAM Operating Procedures including the Construction Phase Management Plan
Able to work to programme and associated deadlines
• Set up and monitor handover schedules, keys, spares and completion documentation.
• Ensuring BAM construction environmental procedures are implemented on site.
• Keep site diaries including records of subcontractor attendance and progress.
• Manage direct and sub-contractor packages and the keeping of associated records
• Input on buildability issues as required.

What do you bring to the role?

• Experience in delivering high quality projects
• Experience working on various types of Construction projects.
• Broad construction based technical experience.
• A relevant Health & Safety qualification and be competent to carry out site management tasks they are directed to do, ideally SMSTS.
• Confident in the use of IT packages and systems.
• Self-motivation and ability to work autonomously
• Good communication skills
• HNC/Degree, MCIOB or equivalent or a trade’s background.
• Full driving licence.
