About the Role:
Zest Education is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Sports Coach to work full-time across a range of secondary schools in Staffordshire. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about physical education and inspiring young people to lead active, healthy lifestyles.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging sports sessions, supporting PE departments, and contributing to extracurricular activities. The role may involve working with students of varying abilities, promoting teamwork, discipline, and confidence through sport.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality sports coaching sessions across a variety of disciplines
* Support PE teachers with curriculum-based lessons
* Organise, lead extracurricular clubs, and school sports teams
* Encourage student participation and promote physical wellbeing
* Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
* Adapt coaching methods to meet the needs of all students
Requirements:
* Experience coaching sports or working with young people (school-based experience desirable)
* Relevant coaching qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or above)
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A proactive and positive attitude
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
