Your new role
As a 1st Line Support Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting an Imprivata security software rollout across their network of care homes. Working as part of a small team, you'll provide 1st line support via a ticketing system and assist field engineers with on‑site installations.
The role is split between the Windsor base and care home sites, supporting desktop builds, system deployments, and desk‑side setups. You'll help prepare and configure hardware, support Windows and Microsoft 365 environments, and assist engineers during installation phases. This is contract role initially for three months, with the potential to extend.
What you'll need to succeed
Basic to junior‑level experience in a 1st Line Support / Service Desk role
Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365
Basic hardware experience (RAM and hard drive upgrades, desktop builds)
Ability to follow structured processes and support large‑scale rollouts
Strong communication skills and a professional, self‑aware approach
Comfort working in care home environments with exposure to vulnerable adults
A full UK driving licence is desirable due to travel requirements
Flexibility with working hours and occasional overnight staysWhat you'll get in return
Upto £21.79 Umbrella per hour DOE
Hands‑on experience supporting a major IT rollout project
Exposure to field engineering and on‑site installation work
A varied role combining desk‑based support and site work
Mileage paid at 45p per mile and expenses covered for overnight stays (within policy)
