Offshore Lead Cables Engineers

Astute's Power team is partnering with an energy supply and renewable solutions provider based to recruit a Offshore Lead Cables Engineers on 24 months for its Dublin office in a Hybrid capacity.

The Offshore Lead Cables Engineers role comes with a rate of €990 a day - INSIDE IR35

Key Skills:

Provide end-to-end engineering leadership for HV and EHV submarine cable projects (66 kV-400 kV), covering both fixed and dynamic systems
Develop and review cable system designs, including conductor sizing, insulation, armouring, and sheath configurations, supported by detailed technical analyses
Support full project lifecycle delivery (early-stage, FEED, design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning), including preparation of Employer's Requirements and design assurance
Oversee testing and compliance (type, factory, and site acceptance), ensuring alignment with international standards such as IEC and DNV
Contribute to installation and marine operations, including route engineering, burial strategies, installation methodologies, and offshore readiness
Lead risk, quality, HSE, and stakeholder management, including supplier coordination, contract support, failure analysis, and technical representation in project forums
