IT Services | Reporting to Head of Digital Design and Delivery
About the Role
Join a small, dynamic technical team delivering AI-enabled solutions across the University. You’ll design and implement tools using Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Azure AI services to improve efficiency, service quality, and user experience for staff and students.
Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll turn business needs into scalable AI solutions, including generative AI agents, automations, and natural-language tools.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and prioritise high-value AI use cases
* Gather requirements and co-design solutions with stakeholders
* Build and deploy AI tools using Microsoft platforms
* Develop prototypes and proofs of concept
* Support testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
* Create reusable assets (prompt libraries, playbooks, documentation)
* Provide expert guidance on AI best practice
About You
* Experience delivering AI solutions using Microsoft technologies (Copilot, Power Platform, Azure AI)
* Strong skills in designing and implementing AI tools (e.g. bots, automations, NLP solutions)
* Ability to translate complex concepts for non-technical audiences
* Experience gathering requirements and working in Agile/ITIL environments
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
* Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion
Desirable: AI certifications, experience working across large organisations, or mentoring others
Additional Information

* May involve occasional evening/weekend work and travel between sites
Salary description
£500.00 - £666.00 per day
