How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be working closely with the Engineering Team and carry out daily mechanical & electrical maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out in line with appropriate Health & Safety instructions and site policies.

    Description

    Carry out planned preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
    Respond promptly to breakdowns, diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently.
    Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during all engineering activities.
    Collaborate with the production team to minimise downtime and improve performance.
    Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
    Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
    Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required.
    Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team.Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off pattern, 4 Days and 4 Nights

    Profile

    Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering techniques.
    Knowledge of site services, CIP, refrigeration, steam boilers, water and effluent monitoring are desirable but not essential.
    NVQ Level 3 Qualified at a minimum
    Experience of working in reactive maintenance roles
    Strong interpersonal skills: a team player who is prepared to support fellow engineers and can also develop good relationships with colleagues in departments across the business.Job Offer
