We are currently recruiting for a passionate and resilient English Teacher to join a small, specialist provision in the Stoke-on-Trent area . This is a full-time position, ideal for an educator with experience supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a nurturing, close-knit environment where class sizes are small and relationships are key to student success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons to students with SEMH needs
* Build strong, supportive relationships to promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
* Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of individual learning needs
* Contribute to a structured and supportive learning environment
* Work collaboratively with support staff and external professionals
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred but not essential
* Experience working with SEMH students or in alternative provisions
* Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach
* A background or confidence in teaching basic Maths alongside English is highly desirable
* A genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable learners

£180.00 - £230.00 per day
