How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

School Mental Health Assistant - Specialist SEN School

    Location: Reading, Berkshire
    Start Date: ASAP
    Pay: £89 - £100 per day
    Hours: Full-Time

Are you a graduate eager to gain practical experience in children's mental health? Are you considering a future career as an Educational Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, or Mental Health Practitioner?

A specialist SEN school in Reading is seeking a School Mental Health Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The school supports pupils with a wide range of social, emotional, and mental health needs, including trauma, attachment disorders, anxiety, and moderate learning difficulties.

    In this role, you will:
    * Deliver 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
    * Use therapeutic approaches and behaviour strategies to support learning
    * Assist teachers with classroom activities and student engagement
    * Work closely with on-site specialists to provide tailored support

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with children who have complex needs, while developing a strong understanding of SEN and SEMH support strategies.
