How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Tate are currently recruiting for an experienced Technical User Support Analyst to join a busy, fast‑paced operational environment on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong desktop support and deployment experience to contribute to a large-scale IT support function.

    The Role

    As a Technical User Support Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting end users and manufacturing operations, providing hands-on technical assistance across hardware, software and operating systems.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Deployment and installation of PCs and laptops, including hardware setup and configuration
    Supporting and configuring devices running Windows 10 & 11, macOS and Linux
    Troubleshooting hardware, software and peripheral issues during system upgrades
    Setting up and adding required hardware as part of upgrade and deployment activities
    Documenting testing, maintenance, system updates and configuration changes
    Providing day-to-day technical support to users across PCs, servers, network infrastructure and applications
    Acting as a point of liaison between operational teams and IT support services
    Responding to queries around system procedures, outages and downtime processes
    Recommending system or process improvements to reduce recurring user issues

    About You

    To be successful in this role, you will have:

    Proven experience in a technical/user support, desktop support or IT support role
    Strong working knowledge of Windows 10 & 11, macOS and Linux operating systems
    Experience with PC deployment and hardware roll-outs
    Solid understanding of computer hardware and peripherals
    The ability to work independently in a fast-paced, structured environment
    Clear communication skills and confidence working with a wide range of internal stakeholders

    Pay & Benefits

    £182 per day with holiday pay and pension contributions
    Minimum 6-month temporary contract, with likely extension
