How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an ambitious and dedicated Key Stage 2 teacher ready to take on the rewarding challenge of Year 6?

    Academics are working with a warm and welcoming 2-form entry primary school in Wickford seeking a passionate Year 6 Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis from September.     Person Specification (Aligned to Teaching Standards)

    We are looking for a teacher who:

    Sets high expectations which inspire, motivate, and challenge all pupils
    Demonstrates strong subject and curriculum knowledge, particularly within upper KS2
    Plans and teaches well-structured lessons, adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners
    Uses assessment effectively to support progress and raise attainment
    Manages behaviour effectively, creating a safe and respectful learning environment
    Promotes good progress and outcomes for all pupils, including those with additional needs
    Fulfils wider professional responsibilities, working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community
    Is reflective, committed to professional development, and eager to contribute to school lifeRequirements

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    Experience teaching in KS2 (Year 6 experience desirable but not essential)
    A passion for raising attainment and supporting pupils through SATs preparation
    A commitment to inclusive, high-quality teaching
