We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join The Education Specialists, part of the Operam Education Group.
In this rewarding role, you’ll provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to thrive both academically and emotionally. You’ll work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver personalised learning and ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.
Key Responsibilities of a SEND Teaching Assistant:

Provide tailored SEND support to pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
*
Assist teachers with differentiated learning activities and adapt materials to meet pupil needs
*
Support pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges
*
Promote inclusion and encourage pupil independence in the classroom
*
Implement behaviour management strategies to maintain a calm and positive learning environment
*
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other Teaching Assistants to support holistic child development
Who We’re Looking For:
*
Experienced Teaching Assistants or Learning Support Assistants with SEND experience
*
Individuals with Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications (or equivalent)
*
Professionals with experience working in mainstream or specialist settings
*
Candidates passionate about supporting children with additional learning needs
*
Graduates or individuals with relevant experience in childcare, youth work, or care settings
