Salary: Up to £20.71 per hour
We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join the team in Derby on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and diagnostics of Heavy and Light Commercial Vehicles and associated equipment including sweepers and RCVs.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGV and LCV vehicles
Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
Undertake welding and fabrication work where required
Work on a range of fleet vehicles including Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs) and sweepers
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard in line with health and safety requirements
Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota (approximately 1 in 7 weeks)
Additional Duties and Benefits

Requirements
Proven experience as an HGV Technician
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Experience with electrical and hydraulic systems
Welding and fabrication experience desirable
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
