How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Nurture Teacher
    Location: West Drayton
    Contract Type: Full-Time
    Salary: £200 - £260 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

    About the Role

    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurture Teacher to join a specialist secondary provision supporting students aged 11-19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

    This position will focus on leading a Year 8 nurture group, delivering a carefully tailored curriculum that builds confidence, resilience, and academic progress while addressing barriers to learning. You will work closely with a small cohort of students, creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment where they can thrive both socially and academically.

    Key Responsibilities

    Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across core subjects and personal development areas for a Year 8 nurture group.
    Implement nurture group principles, focusing on emotional regulation, social skills, and academic catch-up.
    Support individualised learning programmes that meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH.
    Use restorative and trauma-informed approaches to manage behaviour positively and effectively.
    Foster a safe and inclusive environment, encouraging students to build trust, self-esteem, and resilience.
    Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to support student progress.Requirements

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) is essential.
    Experience teaching students with SEMH needs, ideally within a nurture or specialist provision setting.
    Ability to plan and deliver a broad and balanced curriculum for Key Stage 3.
    Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills, with a calm, patient, and resilient approach.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
