How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you an experienced and highly capable SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a role where your skillset will be genuinely valued?

A well-organised two-form entry primary school in Westminster (Maida Vale/Kilburn area) is seeking a strong SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. The role is confirmed for September 2026, with the opportunity to start this term, allowing for a smooth and well-supported transition into the new academic year.

    About the School

This is a well-established, community-focused primary school with a strong reputation for supporting pupils with additional needs. As a two-form entry setting, the school benefits from shared expertise across year groups while maintaining a close-knit and supportive staff culture.

The school has a particularly strong SEN offering, including a dedicated on-site hub supporting pupils with a range of needs. There are clear systems in place for behaviour, intervention, and communication, and staff work collaboratively to ensure pupils receive consistent and effective support.

    What You’ll Benefit From

    • Opportunity to work within a well-established SEN hub
    • Strong support from an experienced SENCO and leadership team
    • Clear strategies and routines for supporting pupils with additional needs
    • Collaboration across a two-form entry structure
    • The chance to start this term and transition into September

    The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support, both in and out of the classroom.

    You will:
    • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
    • Help implement structured support strategies and interventions
    • Support pupils with communication, behaviour, and engagement
    • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
    • Contribute to maintaining a calm, consistent learning environment

    What They’re Looking For

This role is suited to a strong SEN Teaching Assistant who:

    • Has solid experience supporting pupils with additional needs in a primary setting
    • Is confident working with a range of needs, including ASD and SEMH
    • Can follow structured support plans and adapt where needed
    • Maintains high expectations alongside a calm and consistent approach
    • Works effectively as part of a wider team

    Salary & Contract

Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience
Full-time, long-term position with potential for permanent opportunity
