How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    M&E Planner

    We’re a leading M&E Contractor working across the UK, delivering complex projects in sectors such as healthcare, nuclear, defence, government, leisure, industrial, and infrastructure.

    Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced M&E Planner to join our team. This is a key role where you’ll take ownership of planning and project controls across a diverse portfolio of building services projects.

    If you enjoy working in fast-paced environments, take pride in delivering high-quality work, and want to be part of a business that values performance and innovation — we’d love to hear from you.

    The Role

    As an M&E Planner, you’ll play a crucial part in ensuring projects are well planned, well managed, and delivered successfully.

    You’ll work closely with internal teams, clients, and external partners to build robust programmes, track progress, and keep projects aligned with both contractual and operational requirements.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    * Develop and manage project programmes across site and office environments

    * Coordinate plans with clients, subcontractors, and external stakeholders

    * Monitor progress against programme baselines and produce monthly reports

    * Support tender submissions by developing planning strategies for bids

    * Identify risks, delays, and opportunities — and recommend solutions

    * Prepare recovery programmes where required

    * Lead weekly planning meetings and keep teams aligned

    * Track construction progress and produce clear, accurate reporting (including S-curves)

    * Carry out critical path analysis and apply Earned Value Management techniques

    * Review subcontractor performance and manpower levels

    What We’re Looking For

    Experience

    * Strong background in MEP Contracting / Building Services planning

    * Proven experience within construction or engineering environments (5–10 years)

    * Good understanding of construction sequencing and project delivery

    * Familiarity with NEC and/or JCT contracts

    Technical Skills

    * Asta Powerproject (essential)

    * Primavera P6 (preferred)

    * Power BI (desirable)

    * Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially reporting and presentations)

    Key Skills

    * Excellent organisation and attention to detail

    * Strong communication skills — able to present information clearly

    * Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

    * Confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels

    * Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving ability

    Why Join Us?

    * Work on high-profile, technically challenging projects

    * Be part of a growing and forward-thinking business

    * Opportunity to influence projects and drive improvements

    * Supportive team culture with real opportunities for progression
