In this PCB Assembly Operative role, you'll be involved in a range of practical and technical tasks:
Carry out hand assembly and soldering of PCBs
Complete through hole and surface mount placement by hand
Clean and prepare PCBs to a high standard
Perform visual inspection of solder joints
Undertake PCB rework and modification
Build prototypes and support the design teamWhat we're looking for:
To succeed as a PCB Assembly Operative, you'll need:
At least 2 years' experience in an electronics production environment
Strong soldering skills with both leaded and lead-free materials
Experience as a Production Operative within electronics manufacturing
Experience preparing and assembling through hole components
Experience as a Soldering Operative working with surface mount components (down to 0402)
Confidence using basic hand tools such as pliers and screwdriversIt would also be beneficial if you have:
Experience using hot air and rework techniques
