The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established and fast-growing logistics provider that is continuing to expand its UK operations. Due to sustained growth and increased volumes, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Freight Forwarder to join their team in Uxbridge.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced freight professional looking to step into a senior role, with clear progression into management for those who want it.
The Role
As a Senior Freight Forwarder, you will play a key role in managing end-to-end shipments, supporting junior team members, and ensuring high levels of service delivery across international freight operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage import shipments across air and sea freight from start to finish
Coordinate with overseas agents, airlines, shipping lines, and hauliers
Handle all relevant documentation including customs entries and compliance
Provide accurate quotations and support pricing requests
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues efficiently
Support and mentor junior team members where required
Requirements
Proven experience in freight forwarding (Air & Sea essential)
Strong focus on import operations
Good understanding of customs procedures and documentation
Experience liaising with carriers, agents, and clients
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Previous supervisory/management experience is highly desirable
(However, strong senior-level candidates looking to step up will also be considered)
