How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: £27,000 - £31,000 + shift allowance (30% / 20% / 50%)

    Shift Patterns
    12 hour shifts. Days: 7am-7pm Nights: 7pm-7am
    Front End: Back End:
    Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue Wed, Thu, Fri
    Sun, Mon, Tue Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat

    As an Equipment Shift Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting both equipment up-time and manufacturing performance. Working within a high-tech clean-room environment, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and improve semiconductor production tools, ensuring efficient equipment operation across assigned shifts.

    Key Responsibilities

    Perform and sustain Preventive Maintenance (PMs) on semiconductor production equipment
    Troubleshoot equipment issues and carry out first level fault recovery
    Support equipment improvement projects, experiments, and tool health activities
    Achieve required equipment performance metrics across each shift
    Follow documented procedures for equipment checks, PMs, and OCAPs
    Work closely with Equipment and Process Engineers to resolve online manufacturing issues
    What You Will Need
    Full training provided, but we are looking for candidates with:

    BTEC/HNC in Engineering or working towards an equivalent qualification
    Ability to interpret technical procedures and produce structured observation reports
    Understanding of modern manufacturing concepts (JIT, KANBAN, Zero Defects, SPC, TQM, TPM)
    Strong organisational, prioritisation, and problem solving skills
    Awareness of clean-room protocols and expectations
    Availability to work fixed 12 hour day and night shifts
