We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a school setting within the Treorchy area. This is a full-time position, offering consistent hours and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child’s educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with ASD
Assist in implementing individual learning plans and strategies
Promote engagement, independence, and positive behaviour
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support the child’s development
Create a supportive and structured learning environment
Requirements:
Essential: Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Patient, empathetic, and understanding approach
Strong commitment to supporting children with additional needs
Ability to build positive relationships and maintain consistency
Reliable and able to commit to long-term work
