How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Assembler

    Leeds

    £30,000 - £33,000 base salary

    The Company

    Our client designs bespoke machinery for the packaging industry. With ambitious growth plans and over thirty years of experience, the business was recently acquired and has therefore secured the investment to achieve their goals. Currently operating at £1.5M+ turnover, the business plans steady year on year growth to become a major global player.

    They are looking to recruit an Electrical Assembler with immediate effect.

    The Role

    The role of Electrical Assembler will involve working from electrical diagrams to assemble and install a range of electrical components within our client’s bespoke machinery. Key responsibilities include building and wiring circuit boards, assembling and fitting servos, control units, motors, adaptors, and mounting plates. You will play an important part in ensuring all electrical systems are fitted accurately and to a high standard:

    Interpret and work from electrical schematics and diagrams
    Build and wire circuit boards and electrical assemblies
    Install and fit components including servos, motors, control units, adaptors, and plates
    Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
    Support machine assembly where required (training provided)
    The Candidate

    To be successful in your application for this Electrical Assembler role you will need:

    Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams
    Experience building and wiring electrical boards
    Happy to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
    Experience with machinery or exposure to programming/design would be beneficial
