Key Responsibilities
Motor design and drawing support across projects
Design of motor-to-dyno installations (mounting structures, pipework, cabling)
Provide design support during procurement of motor componentsRequired Skills & Experience
Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or related Engineering (BEng/BSc – 2:1+)
Mechanical Design expreince
Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and first-principles calculations
Experience in product, system, and component design
Proficient in 3D CAD (parametric modelling)
Ability to interpret FEA results
Knowledge of materials and their application in design
Mechanical, thermal, and fluid systems design experience
Proven track record delivering design projects
Strong communication, attention to detail, and teamwork skills
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently
Proficient in Microsoft OfficeDesirable Skills
MEng / MSc (or equivalent)
Electric motor or inverter design experience
CATIA V5/V6 experience
FEA modelling (Abaqus or similar)
GD&T knowledge (BS8888 / ASME Y14.5)
Mechatronics design experience
