How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Senior Quality Engineer / Coach and Mentor

    We are seeking an experienced hands on Quality professional to work alongside the current Quality Manager to support them during a period of operational and process development

    Paying £300 to £400 per day (6 month to 12 month contract)

    This role is focused on:

    Providing practical support and guidance
    Sharing experience from similar manufacturing environments
    Strengthening process control and problem-solving approaches
    Supporting the development of existing team and systemsThe experience that we are looking for the Senior Quality Engineer / Coach and Mentor

    Strong background in manufacturing quality (10+ years)
    Experience in:
    Aerospace, OEM or high-spec industries
    AS9100 / ISO9001 environments
    Hands-on experience in:
    Root cause analysis and process improvement (8D) Based in Stone, Staffordshire

    Desirable skills for Senior Quality Engineer / Coach and Mentor

    Background in:
    Metallurgy or materials engineering
    Powder metallurgy / sintering processes
    Experience within:
    CNC machining environments
    Familiarity with:
    NDT and inspection techniquesPersonal attributes for the Senior Quality Engineer / Coach and Mentor

    Collaborative and supportive approach
    Strong communicator, able to work across all levels
    Practical and hands-on
    Able to share knowledge without dominating
    Builds trust quickly within teamsThis is a collaborative, non-hierarchical role designed to add experience and capacity, not to replace or supersede existing leadership.

    Detail of the Senior Quality Engineer / Coach and Mentor

    Contract Role of 6 to 12 months
    Paying £300 to £400 per day
    Working with the current Quality Manager on supporting current and process development
    Based in Stone, Staffordshire
    Ideally looking for someone with 10 years plus Quality Experience to help coach and mentor
    Stronger, more consistent process control across production
    Improved confidence and capability within the Quality function
    Robust and repeatable problem-solving approach embedded
    Clearer linkage between process, material and final quality
