SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

We are seeking a passionate SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a unique therapeutic educational setting in Stourbridge, supporting children aged 6-19 with ASD, MLD, and SLD. The setting adopts a specialized "Craft and Land-based Practical Skills Therapeutic Education" curriculum, creating a calming and enriching environment for each student. This role involves extensive outdoor learning, offering both physical and emotional support to help young people flourish.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students in a therapeutic and inclusive learning environment.
Work closely with teachers to implement individualized learning plans for children with ASD, MLD, and SLD.
Assist in both classroom and outdoor-based activities, ensuring students are safe and engaged.
Provide one-to-one and small group support to enhance learning outcomes.
Promote social, emotional, and academic development through a nurturing approach.
Requirements:

Experience working with young people with SEND, particularly in therapeutic settings.
Patience, resilience, and a passion for supporting children and young people.
Ability to work in an outdoor setting, with a flexible approach to learning.
Team-player attitude with a strong "can-do" mindset.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable, but not essential.
