About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance are consistently delivered. You will play a key role in shaping a positive, person-centred environment where individuals are supported to live fulfilling and independent lives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the service
Ensure high-quality, person-centred care is delivered at all times
Manage, support, and develop a team of care professionals
Maintain compliance with regulatory and legal standards
Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and service delivery
Manage budgets, resources, and staffing effectively
Work collaboratively with external professionals including healthcare teams
About the Service
You will be managing a residential home supporting five women with varying mobility and communication needs:
Three individuals use wheelchairs and communication difficulties
One individual is registered blind
All individuals have complex health needs linked to learning difficulties service works closely with community learning disability teams and district nurses to provide holistic care.
What You’ll Need
Proven experience in a senior role within the social care sector
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and care standards
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Experience managing rotas and confidence using IT systems
Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
Experience supporting individuals with limited verbal communication (desirable)
Commitment to person-centred care and improving lives
Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
Working Pattern
Primarily office-based hours
Flexibility to provide shift cover where required
Occasional unannounced out-of-hours visits
