How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are looking for an experienced Controls Engineer to join our clients expanding engineering team. This is a key role focused on integrating smart tools, improving processes and supporting manufacturing operations through automation and control systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Design and implement control systems to support automation and smart tooling

    * Analyse existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement

    * Integrate new technologies into current manufacturing and test environments

    * Program and manage systems for data collection, automation, and communication

    * Support production with troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities

    * Contribute to small projects, ensuring delivery to time and budget

    * Produce and maintain technical documentation (schematics, reports, procedures)

    * Ensure systems meet safety and compliance standards

    Key Skills & Experience

    * Background in controls, automation or mechatronics

    * Experience with PLC/HMI systems, industrial automation or similar

    * Strong problem-solving skills and a structured approach to fault finding

    * Ability to work with data systems and basic programming

    * Understanding of manufacturing or engineering environments

    * Knowledge of EHS and safe working practices

    * Good communication skills and ability to work within a team

    Desirable

    * Experience with industrial communication protocols / networking

    * Exposure to data analysis or process optimisation

    * Knowledge of aviation or highly regulated environments
