A leading UK insurer is growing its actuarial function and is looking for a Reserving Analyst to support its retail insurance portfolio. This role offers the opportunity to move beyond purely technical work and gain exposure to performance, profitability, and strategic decision-making.
The Opportunity
Work across reserving, performance monitoring, and commercial insight
Gain exposure to senior stakeholders across Finance, Claims, and Strategy
Play a key role in quarterly reserve reviews and business reporting

What You'll Be Doing
Supporting loss ratio and reserving analysis
Contributing to quarterly reserving cycles and monthly reporting
Analysing portfolio performance and profitability trends
Ensuring data accuracy and MI integrity
Delivering insight to support business decision-making
Supporting audit, governance, and documentation
About You
Part-qualified actuary (IFoA) - ideally 3-8 exams completed
Experience in reserving, actuarial reporting, or performance analysis within insurance
Strong analytical skills and experience with Excel (Python/SAS/VBA beneficial)
Understanding of reserving principles and insurance performance metrics
Able to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
