How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Manufacturing Engineer
    Location: Cornwall (Relocation Support Available)
    Salary: £45,000 – £47,000 + 10% Bonus + £8,000 Relocation Package

    A leading manufacturing company based in Cornwall is experiencing a significant period of growth and investment. As part of this expansion, they are looking to strengthen their engineering team by appointing a skilled and driven Manufacturing Engineer.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation where you will play a key role in improving manufacturing processes, driving efficiency, and supporting operational excellence across the site.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead and support process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
    Analyse and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to maximise productivity
    Identify inefficiencies and implement robust engineering solutions
    Work cross-functionally with production, quality, and maintenance teams
    Support new product introductions and process development
    Drive lean manufacturing principles and best practice methodologies
    Key Requirements:

    Proven experience in a Manufacturing Engineer or similar role
    Strong background in process optimisation and continuous improvement
    Demonstrable experience working with and improving OEE metrics
    Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and techniques
    Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
    Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
