How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Interaction Recruitment are currently looking for HGV Class 2 (C+E) drivers to work for our client who is one of the UK's leading food & drink cash and carry suppliers to the fast-food industry serving independent retailers, caterers and small businesses, from multiple locations across the country.

    Working out of their Leyland depot, successful applicants will be responsible for completing regionalised drops where the number of deliveries will vary depending on the route and the locality of the drops. 

    You will need

    Valid UK Cat C Licence

    Previous experience of driving HGV is preferred

    Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

    Ability to carry out manual deliveries (although most of the work will be with a drivers mate)

    Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

    Good level of literacy and numeracy

    The Role

    Driving Class 2 vehicle delivering food and drink provisions to the fast-food industry
    Local and regional multi-drop or site-to-site work
    Safe loading and unloading (training provided if required)
    Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reports
    Ensuring compliance with tachograph, WTD, and health & safety regulations
    Representing the company professionally with customers and site staff
    What We’re Looking For

    Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
    Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
    Previous Class 2 experience is desired but not essential
    Good knowledge of UK road transport regulations
    Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-focused
    Positive attitude and strong work ethic
