How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Production Manager
    £48,000 to £53,000 per annum, dependant on experience + Company Benefits
    Commutable from Birmingham, Dudley, Stourbridge, West Bromwich, Wolverhampton, Walsall

    An excellent opportunity for an experienced production manager looking to join a well-established, local company where you will play a key role in driving operational performance, continuous improvement, and team development.

    The company are industry leaders in their sector and work with a range of reputable customers across the UK. They are currently looking for a Production Manager to join the team.

    Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will oversee day-to-day production operations, ensuring KPIs across safety, quality, and delivery are consistently met. You will work closely with planning to achieve production targets and schedules, while leading and developing team leaders and shop floor staff through effective performance management and training. The role will involve driving continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives, monitoring performance and reporting on KPIs, and ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations while promoting a strong safety-first culture.

    This role would suit an experienced Production Manager with a background in manufacturing or fabrication who ideally understands the process of manipulating sheet metal (such as cutting, welding, painting) looking for a hands-on role with real responsibility and the opportunity to influence processes, culture, and long-term growth.

    The Role:

    Overseeing daily production, ensuring KPIs across safety, quality, and delivery are met, working with planning to achieve production targets and schedules, leading and developing team leaders and shop floor staff, driving continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
    Monitoring performance, reporting on KPIs, and improving processes
    Ensuring health & safety compliance and promoting a safety-first culture
    7:30am to 4pm Monday to FridayThe Person:

    Experienced Production Manager, preferable within the Engineering/fabrication industry
    Knowledge/understanding of sheet metal and associated processes
    Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
    Ability to analyse performance data and report at management level
    Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across the business
