How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are seeking an experienced and proactive Office Manager to join a thriving construction contractor based in Aldgate. This is a key role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a busy office, ensuring a smooth, efficient and well organised working environment.

    You will play a central role in supporting senior leadership, managing administrative functions, and supervising support staff within a collaborative team of 25–30 office based employees. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

    This well established contractor provides end to end project delivery, from pre-construction through to completion. Operating on a fixed-price, turnkey model the business is focused on streamlining site operations, improving efficiency and delivering projects safely and sustainably across a range of sectors.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Oversee the day to day running of the office, ensuring a productive and efficient environment

    * Develop, implement and maintain effective administrative systems and processes

    * Manage office facilities, suppliers and service contracts

    * Supervise, support, and coordinate administrative staff

    * Allocate workloads, delegate tasks and monitor team performance

    * Assist with recruitment, onboarding and general HR administration

    * Monitor office budgets, expenses and cost controls

    * Maintain staff records and ensure HR documentation is up to date

    * Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and legal requirements

    * Oversee health & safety processes within the office environment

    * Act as a key point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders

    * Coordinate meetings, events and internal communications

    * Provide administrative and operational support to senior leadership

    Key Requirements

    * Proven experience in an Office Manager or similar operational role

    * Background within construction or a related industry is highly desirable

    * Strong leadership and team management skills

    * Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities

    * Confident communicator with a proactive approach

    * Good understanding of office systems, HR processes and compliance
