The role - Art & DT Technician
A welcoming and well-resourced mainstream secondary school in Enfield is looking to appoint a reliable and proactive Art & DT Technician to join their team as soon as possible. In this role, you will support both the Art and Design Technology departments, ensuring lessons run smoothly and safely.
Your responsibilities will include preparing materials and equipment for practical lessons, maintaining tools and machinery, and ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed at all times. You will also support students and staff in the safe use of equipment, including workshop machinery and specialist tools.
The role will involve stock control, ordering materials, and keeping workspaces organised and fully equipped. You may also assist in setting up displays of student work and supporting creative projects across the department.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organised, and safety-conscious, with a strong willingness to support both staff and students. Previous experience in a workshop, Art/DT setting, or technical role is desirable. A valid DBS on the update service is required for this position.
