The Role – Mechanical Field Service Engineer
Working from home, you’ll attend customer sites across the region, focusing primarily on the mechanical service and repair of garage equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
• Service, maintenance, and repair of tyre changers, wheel balancers, and vehicle lifts
• Mechanical fault finding, diagnosis, and repair on customer sites
• Working on hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Carrying out planned maintenance and reactive breakdown work
• Installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently
• Completing service reports via tablet and liaising with the service team
What We’re Looking For
• Strong mechanical engineering background (essential)
• Experience working on hydraulic, pneumatic, or lifting equipment
• Previous field service, maintenance, or workshop engineering experience
• Confident fault-finder with a practical, hands-on approach
• Any experience with garage equipment, plant, lifting gear, or similar is highly advantageous
• Basic electrical knowledge (desirable, not essential)
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
• Full UK driving licence
