Adecco are seeking a skilled and reliable Bench Caster to join our client's production team based in ST4. This role involves producing high‑quality ceramic ware using slip casting techniques, working to established standards of quality, consistency, and efficiency.
This is a temporary position for possibly up to 6 months.
Key responsibilities:
Bench casting ceramic items using moulds and clay
Monitoring casting times to ensure consistent wall thickness and quality
Safely emptying moulds and preparing cast items for finishing
Inspecting cast ware for defects and reporting issues promptly
Cleaning, maintaining, and storing moulds correctly
Working to production targets while maintaining quality standards
Following health & safety procedures at all times
Skills & Experience:
Previous bench casting experience is essential
Knowledge of slip casting techniques and ceramic processes
Good attention to detail and manual dexterity
Ability to work with repetitive tasks accurately
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Willingness to learn and adapt to production requirements
