How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Talentmark is recruiting for a Process Scientist to join a company in the animal health and pharmaceutical industry on a contract basis for 6 months. 

    Salary:
    Paying from £16.35 to £20.08 per hour PAYE (inside IR35)

    Process Development Scientist Role:

    Work with lead scientists on laboratory studies through hands-on experimentation.  
    Perform essential daily tasks, equipment calibration, buffer and media preparation, sampling, and routine monitoring of cultures.
    Maintain a high standard of lab organization and housekeeping.
    Proactively manage stock levels of consumables and reagents. 
    Support on technical transfers and scale up into pilot plant for delivery of pivotal clinical trial materials. Your Background:

    Degree or higher degree in a scientific or engineering discipline or 5+ years of relevant industry experience in a laboratory or pilot plant environment.
    Experience in regulated environments and working under Good Manufacturing Practices GMP.
    Proven experience in a hands-on lab role, ideally within an upstream process team.
    Strong organizational skills with a focus on housekeeping and stock control.
    Technical precision regarding equipment calibration and maintenance.
    Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
    Experience with cell culture and fermentation science would be nice to have.Company:
