Company benefits include:
Competitive Salary: Skilled Trailer Technicians can expect a base salary of around £38,000 per annum depending on experience, with realistic on-target earnings of £45,000+
Other benefits: Double time pay is offered for all non-rostered overtime, along with holiday pay calculated on average earnings, increased holiday entitlement with length of service, and an annual performance-related bonus.
As a Trailer Technician / Fitter, you’ll be responsible for:
Carrying out on-site trailer servicing, maintenance, and breakdown support as required
Preparing trailers in the workshop for MOT inspections and compliance checks
Attending roadside breakdowns and completing repairs or servicing at customer locations
Performing trailer inspections, servicing, and repairs at the quayside
Following company procedures, safe systems of work, and Health & Safety regulations
Working efficiently and professionally to deliver high-quality mechanical repairs and maintenance
A C+E licence would be an advantage (training can be provided if required)
About you:
As a Trailer Technician / Fitter, you’ll bring relevant mechanical, vehicle maintenance, or engineering experience, ideally within trailers, HGVs, or commercial vehicles. Reliability, strong time management, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. A full UK driving licence is required.
We also welcome Trainee Trailer Fitters or individuals looking to build a career in mechanical engineering or vehicle maintenance. With the right attitude and transferable skills, full training and development will be provided. Trainee Fitters can expect to earn between£33,000 – £38,000 per year, depending on experience and overtime.
