How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Team Leader to join a well-established care provider known for delivering high-quality residential support for young people within a nurturing, well-structured environment.
    As a Senior Team Leader, you will provide day-to-day leadership within a residential setting, supporting staff, maintaining care standards, safeguarding children, and ensuring smooth operational delivery.
    This role offers a salary range of £33,300 - £35,000 plus £55 per sleep ins and benefits.
    You will be responsible for:
    * Leading, motivating and supporting a team to deliver high-quality care
    * Allocating tasks and ensuring effective shift coordination
    * Providing supervision, guidance and performance feedback to staff
    * Overseeing daily operations and escalating issues where required
    * Supporting staff development through coaching and mentoring
    * Promoting positive behaviour support approaches within the home
    * Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
    * Supporting compliance with health & safety and risk management processes
    What we are looking for
    * Previously worked as a Senior Team Leader, Senior Residential Support Worker, Care Team leader, Care Supervisor, Junior Home manager, Junior Care manager, or in a similar role
    * Level 3 Children, Young People & Families Practitioner (Residential) or equivalent
    * Experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity within residential care
    * Flexible, resilient approach with strong organisational skills
    * Commitment to high standards of care and professional practice
