How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: Runcorn
    Salary: £5,610 - £5,619 per annum (£25,949 - £25,989 FTE pay award pending)
    Hours: 8 hours per week.

As a cook, you'll play a vital role in this by preparing nutritious, home-style meals that support health and well-being.     Your Contributions:
    As a cook at Inglefield, you will be responsible for planning, purchasing and preparing nutritionally balanced and appetising meals for the children and staff. You will serve the meals and clear away, ensuring that the kitchen facilities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness to meet the requirements of the food hygiene guidelines.
    You will plan, prepare and cook to meet multiple dietary requirements and provisions, and will be responsible for Health & Safety/Food Safety and hygiene in the kitchen, and will undertake inventory control.
    You will ideally have a Food Safety level 2 certificate or above, and/or a relevant catering qualification, with experience of working in a commercial/residential kitchen.
