How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Spanish Teacher - Secondary School (St Helens)

    0.6 Contract | Long‑Term Supply | June Start

    Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a welcoming and forward‑thinking secondary school in St Helens to recruit a Spanish Teacher for a long‑term supply role starting Monday 8th June, with the position expected to continue until at least the end of the academic year, and the potential to extend into September.

    The Role

    Teaching Spanish across KS3 and KS4
    0.6 timetable - Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
    Planning, teaching and assessing in line with the national curriculum
    Creating an engaging and positive learning environment
    Working collaboratively with the MFL department and wider school staff

    The Ideal Candidate

    Qualified Spanish Teacher (QTS) - ECTs and experienced teachers welcome
    Recent experience teaching Spanish at KS3 and KS4
    Strong classroom management skills
    Passionate about languages and pupil progress
    Able to commit to a long‑term supply role

    Pay & Benefits

    Up to £232.56 per day, depending on experience
    Paid weekly through PAYE
