Financial Controller - £80-85k - London (4-5 days in the office)
We’re seeking a Financial Controller to take ownership of US reporting, compliance, and financial control within a global finance function of an exciting fast growing group of premium consumer brands.
This is a key leadership role ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance across all US entities while supporting consolidated global reporting.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership, acting as a critical bridge between local execution and global finance strategy. The role is hands-on but highly influential, with responsibility for driving improvements across reporting, controls, and financial governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Full ownership of US financial compliance, including tax, statutory, and regulatory obligations
- Lead all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for US entities
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements across balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow
- Maintain and strengthen a robust internal control environment
- Act as primary contact for external auditors, managing audits end-to-end
- Oversee treasury operations including banking, payments, and cash management
- Support financing activities, including covenant tracking and reporting obligations
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis
- Deliver high-quality financial reporting and insights to senior stakeholders
- Partner with global finance leadership on reporting, process improvement, and controls enhancement
- Oversee lease accounting, operational finance matters, and expansion activity support
- Lead ad hoc projects and strategic finance initiatives
What You Bring
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Significant US accounting, compliance, and reporting experience
- Background in a multi-entity or international environment
- Strong technical accounting and controls expertise
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and operate under pressure
- Strong communicator with experience engaging senior stakeholders
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning end-to-end processes
