Liability Claims Handler (Desk-Based)

📍 Milton Keynes or Kent | Full time in office (Hybrid after probation)

We’re working with a respected loss adjusting firm who are looking to bring in Liability Claims Handlers to support their growing workload.

The Role:

This is a desk-based position, focused on managing and progressing liability claims from the office while supporting the wider adjusting team.

You’ll be handling a varied caseload including:

• Employers’ Liability (EL)
• Public Liability (PL)
• Product Liability

Across sectors such as construction, leisure, social housing, and local authority.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Managing claims from first notification through to settlement
• Assessing liability, coverage, and quantum
• Supporting investigations alongside adjusters
• Liaising with policyholders, insurers, solicitors, and third parties
• Keeping files updated and reserves accurate

Working Environment:

• Based in either Milton Keynes or Kent
• Initially 5 days in the office for training and onboarding
• Moving into a hybrid setup once established
• Working within a close-knit team, reporting into an experienced Regional Manager

What They’re Looking For:

• Ideally 5+ years’ liability claims experience (EL/PL)
• Strong understanding of claims handling and liability principles
• Ability to manage your own caseload effectively
• Open to candidates from broader claims backgrounds looking to move into liability
