We are excited to be representing our client in looking for a Despatch Operative to join their growing team. Assisting the Despatch Team Leader, this is the ideal role for a candidate that has previous all round experience in a busy warehouse operation, and can ensure the efficient daily operation of the despatch area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Knowledge and understanding of relevant Export Compliance information.
* Communicate effectively with Sales on queries for customer orders and resolve queries.
* Ensure that FIFO and batch traceability rules are adhered to.
* Daily upkeep of Despatch KPI’s.
* Picking.
* Packing.
* Use of Microsoft packages.
* Any other duties as requested by Management.
The Person:
* Strong work ethic.
* Ability to work well within a team.
* High level of numeracy and literacy.
* Previous experience of working with a complex picking system.
* Previous experience in a despatch environment.
* PC literate – use of Microsoft packages – Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Experience of Wave Picker and other pick assisting vehicles.
