How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker
    Location: Dinnington
    Pay rate: 105 Per Day
    Start Date: Immediate
    Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time 

    Support young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs by providing consistent care, guidance, and encouragement in a structured school environment!

    GSL Education are searching for a compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join a setting in Dinnington. The Mental Health Support Worker will work closely with students who require additional emotional support, helping them to manage their wellbeing and engage positively in education.

    Main Duties:

    Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with mental health needs.
    Build trusting relationships that promote emotional stability and confidence.
    Support students in managing anxiety, behaviour, and emotional regulation.
    Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to implement support plans.
    Encourage positive coping strategies and engagement in learning.
    Maintain safeguarding standards and contribute to a safe environment.
    Requirements of Mental Health Support Worker:

    Experience working with young people with SEMH or mental health needs.
    Strong communication, empathy, and relationship-building skills.
    Calm, patient, and resilient approach.
    Ability to manage challenging situations professionally.
    Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
    An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
