How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Behaviour Support Worker
    Location: Dinnington
    Pay rate: 105 Per Day
    Start Date: Immediate
    Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

    GSL Education are currently hiring dedicated Behaviour Support Workers to work in schools across Dinnington. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who need additional guidance in managing their behaviour and engaging with learning.

    As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will help create a calm, structured, and supportive environment where pupils can develop confidence, self-control, and positive relationships.

    Key Responsibilities of Behaviour Support Worker:

    Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural needs.
    Support pupils in managing emotions and making positive behaviour choices.
    Work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to implement behaviour strategies.
    Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement.
    Support pupils during lessons, transitions, and unstructured times.
    Record observations and feedback on pupil progress and behaviour.
    Essential Requirements:

    Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a behaviour support role.
    Calm, patient, and resilient approach to challenging situations.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    Ability to remain consistent and professional at all times.
    Genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
    An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
