How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: SEMH TA
    Location: Dinnington
    Pay rate: 105 Per Day
    Start Date: Immediate
    Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time 

    Do you enjoy supporting young people who need additional help with their social, emotional, and mental health needs?

    GSL Education are seeking a motivated Social, Emotional and Mental Health Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA) to work with schools in Dinnington, supporting students who require guidance to manage emotions, behaviour, and engagement in learning.

    As an SEMH TA, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide targeted support, helping students develop positive coping strategies, build resilience, and access learning in a structured environment.

    Main Responsibilities:

    Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with SEMH needs.
    Support pupils in managing behaviour and emotional regulation.
    Assist the teacher in maintaining a calm and positive classroom environment.
    Build trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement.
    Help implement behaviour support strategies and interventions.
    Monitor progress and report any concerns or improvements to staff.
    Requirements of SEMH TA:

    Previous experience working with young people, particularly those with SEMH needs, is desirable.
    Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
    A patient, resilient, and supportive approach.
    Ability to build positive relationships with students.
    A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
    An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
