The Animal People are partnering again with one of our favourite clients on a Social Media Executive opportunity within a fast-growing consumer pet brand.
This is not a standard social media role.
This is a hands-on social media and content creation position where you will be creating, filming and shaping content for a brand that is growing quickly and investing heavily in digital and social channels.
The role has been created due to internal promotion, which reflects the opportunity for growth within the business.
What you will be doing
This is a social media and content creation role where no two weeks look the same.
Your week could include:
* Creating and editing short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram and Facebook
* Writing engaging captions and copy that drive interaction
* Managing daily posting across social media platforms
* Responding to comments, DMs and customer messages
* Supporting weekly marketing campaigns across social and ecommerce
* Working closely with design, ecommerce and customer teams
* Spotting trends and creating reactive content
* Contributing ideas to grow brand awareness and engagement
What they are looking for
* Some experience in social media, content creation or digital marketing
(typically around 1–3 years, but strong examples of work matter more than time served)
* A genuine passion for social media and content creation
* Confidence creating video content (filming and editing)
* Strong writing skills and a good instinct for what works online
* Creative, proactive and full of ideas
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
* A genuine interest in pets and animal wellbeing
* Someone who enjoys being part of a team and getting stuck in
If you have been creating content on your own channels, freelance or alongside another role, that is also highly relevant.
