How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Head of Operations | Belfast (Hybrid)

    A high-growth technology-led financial services business is hiring a senior operations leader to take ownership of its operational function during a major scale-up phase.

    The organisation is building infrastructure to support complex financial products across international markets and is entering a period of rapid expansion.


    The role

    Reporting into senior leadership, you will own and scale the operational backbone of the business:

    • Own and optimise end-to-end operational processes
    • Build scalable workflows, controls, and internal frameworks
    • Turn business priorities into clear operational delivery plans
    • Lead operational planning, coordination, and execution
    • Ensure accuracy and consistency of operational data and reporting
    • Identify risks, inefficiencies, and implement structured improvements
    • Lead cross-functional delivery across core business functions
    • Support development of the operational function as the business grows
    • Act as escalation point for complex operational issues


    What we’re looking for

    • Senior operations experience in a fast-moving or regulated environment
    • Background in financial services or complex operational settings
    • Relevant industries: Financial services, fintech, payments, insurance, trading, or regulated platforms
    • Or operationally heavy environments with controls, audit, governance
    • Strong ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
    • Excellent stakeholder management at senior level
    • Strong analytical thinking and structured execution approach
    • Proven ability to build scalable processes in growth environments
    • Calm, decisive operator who thrives in complexity
