Head of Operations | Belfast (Hybrid)
A high-growth technology-led financial services business is hiring a senior operations leader to take ownership of its operational function during a major scale-up phase.
The organisation is building infrastructure to support complex financial products across international markets and is entering a period of rapid expansion.
The role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will own and scale the operational backbone of the business:
- Own and optimise end-to-end operational processes
- Build scalable workflows, controls, and internal frameworks
- Turn business priorities into clear operational delivery plans
- Lead operational planning, coordination, and execution
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of operational data and reporting
- Identify risks, inefficiencies, and implement structured improvements
- Lead cross-functional delivery across core business functions
- Support development of the operational function as the business grows
- Act as escalation point for complex operational issues
What we’re looking for
- Senior operations experience in a fast-moving or regulated environment
- Background in financial services or complex operational settings
- Relevant industries: Financial services, fintech, payments, insurance, trading, or regulated platforms
- Or operationally heavy environments with controls, audit, governance
- Strong ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
- Excellent stakeholder management at senior level
- Strong analytical thinking and structured execution approach
- Proven ability to build scalable processes in growth environments
- Calm, decisive operator who thrives in complexity
