The Role
Our client is seeking hands-on, experienced roofers who are comfortable working at height and have a background in solar PV installation. You will be part of a close-knit installation team, travelling to domestic properties across Berkshire and the home counties to install solar panels, battery storage systems, and associated roofing components.

Key Responsibilities
- Solar PV Installation: Installing solar panels, mounting systems, and associated equipment on residential rooftops (pitched, tile, slate, and flat roofs).
- Battery Installation: Assisting with the installation of battery storage systems (internal and external).
- Roofing Works: Ensuring all roofing penetrations are weatherproof and carrying out minor roofing repairs or adjustments as required to facilitate installations.
- Health & Safety: Working safely at all times, adhering to risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Working effectively alongside electricians and other team members to ensure installations are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Customer Interaction: Representing the company professionally when on site, being courteous to homeowners, and leaving properties clean and tidy.
About You
Our client is looking for reliable, hard-working individuals who take pride in their work and are comfortable on domestic roofs. If you are local to Berkshire and have the right experience, they want to hear from you.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years' experience installing solar PV systems on residential properties. Experience with battery storage installations is a plus.
- Roofing Knowledge: Solid understanding of different roof types and materials, and how to install mounting systems correctly to ensure weathertightness.
- Skills: Comfortable working at height, physically fit, and able to carry heavy equipment (panels, batteries) safely. Good attention to detail and a pride in workmanship.
- Qualifications: CSCS card preferred but not essential for the right candidate. Roofing or construction qualifications are advantageous. Experience working with ladders and scaffolding is essential.
- Location & Logistics: You will be based in or around Berkshire and happy to travel to sites across the home counties. A full UK driving licence is essential (a company vehicle may be available for travel to sites, or a van provided depending on arrangements).
